Router: Setting Feature "Clone Mac Address" u/ Koneksi Cable Internet (Firstmedia/KabelVision)

Prinsip nya koneksi cable internet adalah mendeteksi mac address komputer yang pertama kali terhubung ke cable modem.

Untuk koneksi router ke cable modem adalah sbb:
a. Awal nya secara fisik: internet-cable modem-computer
b. Ingin dirubah menjadi: internet-cable modem-router-computer2 (banyak komputer)
Langkahnya:
1. Lihat point 'a' diatas: Start-Run-cmd- ipconfig /all catat mac address lan card/lan mb yg ada di computer tersebut.
2. setting router/clone mac address. sebaiknya memakai komp/laptop lain. kalo memang memakai computer yg pertama, cabut dulu dr cable modemnya.
3. hubungkan kabel utp dari komp/laptop ke LAN-nya Router.
4. Buka IE/Mozilla/Opera. Ketikkan IP Router (ada di manual)
5. lihat feature Clone Mac Address. Rubah lah mac address sesuai dengan yang tadi dicatat. kemudian di save. Jangan lupa Keluar dari menu router.Untuk setting router sebaiknya DHCP. kalo mau security dll sekalian di set dulu.
6. Hubungkan kembali semua nya seperti point 'b'

Question (Q): bedanya dengan Belden 1583 atau 1683 apa?
Answer (A): Belden AP1690 adalah update dari tipe lama 1683.

Q: beda antara 1583 dan 1683:
A:
1. Ketebalan tembaga kabel. 1583 lebih tebal kabelnya dibandingkan 1683.
2. Harga 1583 lebih mahal dibandingkan 1683. Ini di karenakan kabel 1583 lebih besar diameter baja nya, jadi harga nya lebih mahal
3. performance 1583 lebih baik dibandingkan 1683.
4. 1683 harganya competitive dan bagus untuk jarak 100 m (maks jarak UTP Cable) oleh sebab itu orang lebih banyak pakai yg 1683 dibandingkan 1583.
6. Biasanya 1583 dipakai untuk kasus2 tertentu seperti ingin menghemat biaya untuk jarak di atas 100 m- 300 m. maka dipakai 1583.

Q : nah bro kalau beda kabel ini dibanding yg CAT6 ?
A: kabel cat 5 dan cat 6 secara fisik lain. cat 6 di antara twist cable nya ada semacam penampang tengah terbuat dr plastik, buat pemisah antara kabel yg lilitan 2 masing2. Ini mempengaruhi kecepatan antara kabel dan mengurangi medan elektromagnetik antara kabel.

Cara crimping antara kabel cat 5e dan cat 6 juga beda. cat 5e memakai 2 pair ( 4 )cable. sedangkan cat 6 memakai 4 pair (8) cable.

UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) Cable is a cable that consist of eight cable.

There is 2 type of UTP Cable: Cat 5e and Cat 6
Cat 5e runs in 100 Mbps working with four cable ( 2 pairs)
Cat 6 runs in 1000 Mbps (Gigabit) working with all of eight cable (4 pairs)

How to Crimping for Cat 5e and Cat 6 very different. So be careful.

Usually each roll of UTP Cable length for 303 meters or 305 meters or 1000 feet

GOOD News:
1. There will be more cheaper and cheaper products with higher capacity. now, minimal capacity is 1 GB. Because memory flash will have a down price to adjust with new high capacity
2. There are many models and function for flash disk. Such as cartoon images, rubber, fingerprint, laser pointer, exclusive design, etc. Flash disk can not be boring.
3. Many brand of flash disk in market. That's mean a competition between brands and we are as customer will take an advantage in price.
4. Flash disk hard to broken. Therefore, many brand claim that a lifetime warranty for their products. But who cares about lifetime ? capacity always increase in the future and that is means we should buy another higher capacity flash disk and throw your old flash disk to garbage.
5. Flash disk is a simple thing that can we bring anywhere,anytime and small. Now in the market, there are very small flash disk like a half of cigarette lighter size.


BAD News:
1. Flash disk is a mass market products and there is a lot of brand with unknown eligible principal/vendor/importer. Be careful, because you do not want to buy something that can not be complain if it is broken.
