UTP Cable Information

UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) Cable is a cable that consist of eight cable.

There is 2 type of UTP Cable: Cat 5e and Cat 6
Cat 5e runs in 100 Mbps working with four cable ( 2 pairs)
Cat 6 runs in 1000 Mbps (Gigabit) working with all of eight cable (4 pairs)

How to Crimping for Cat 5e and Cat 6 very different. So be careful.

Usually each roll of UTP Cable length for 303 meters or 305 meters or 1000 feet

Range : max. 100 meters ( above 100 meters usually drop in data transfer rate)

There are many brand of UTP Cable. From High to Low end cable.

Brand: AMP, Panduit, Avaya-Systimax, Belden, Thomas&Bett, D-Link, Bandwith

Watch Out with the original or fake cable. Because it will affect your backbone networks. Using fake cable will cause : can not connect, missing or failed data transfer rate.

Original Cable: About $80 and above.

Why there is double price for Original Cable ? Because Original Cable using really copper to all 4 pairs. But Fake cable just using 2 pairs of copper, the others are fake.

Market Trend: Always Increase of Price. Because it follows with the price of copper in the world.

So if you really need UTP Cable, go buy directly before the price are up and up.
